Adjust seasoning.<\/p>\n<p>Preferably (but not mandatory), let the octopus salad rest in refrigerator for 2-3 hours to infuse the flavours.<\/p>\n<p>Serve cool or at room temperature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5170f2f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5170f2f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p><b>How to cook an octopus:<\/b><br \/>\nWhole octopus, defrosted (2-3 kg)<br \/>\n1 tsp whole black peppercorns<br \/>\n2 bay leaves<\/p>\n<p>Place octopus in a large pot and cover with water. Add peppercorns and bay leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a soft boil and cook, covered, for 25-30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Turn heat off and leave octopus in water for 30 minutes, with lid on.
